Green is the new hot color these days, and new eco-friendly
inventions are popping up all over the place. But what if you could take your house almost entirely off the municipal grid? No more heating, electricity or water bills to pay and no more pesky garbage strikes to deal with! Toronto uses over 1.4 billion liters of water everyday, much of which is wasted and flushed. Our featured video this month introduces Rolf Paloheimo; who decided his Toronto home would not fall into these wasteful trends. As an inventor and a builder, Rolf created a water filtration process that recycles and purifies rainwater, composed his floors out of composted glass particles and blue box materials and designed a solar panel system that provides electricity for the entire family. Watch the video to take a look at his unique and fabulous downtown Toronto home.
